Having at staycation at your home and apartments in Anywhere, USA doesn’t have to be a drag. You earned that “me” time, and it is time to enjoy it. There are many creative ways to spend time at home, including ways to save your cash while still having fun. If you are looking for ways to get back to basics, with little travel, low costs, and quality time to reset, then the new holistay is the way to get that much-needed holiday while staying at home. Here are three fun ways to enjoy what you have, right in your own digs.

1. Catch up on Movies and Shows

You have been working hard, and have neglected that entertainment bone that you also have to flex. You have heard your friends talk about Game Of Thrones, make endless posts about Tiger King, and make reference to Baby Yoda, so now is the time to get in on the action. Spend some time binging great series on Netflix and Hulu, and don’t forget those entertaining documentaries about Fyre Festival ending in a train wreck. Now is the best time to really indulge that guilty pleasure without the thoughts of work or school nagging in the background.

2. Dust Off Those Board Games

With the rise of technology, and endless phone apps like Candy Crush, we forget that Monopoly and Clue have been neglected and left with the dust bunnies in the closet. It is time to pull them back out and kick it old school. Shake those dice and move those pieces with your family members. Don’t have a board game? Brush up on your Blackjack skills, or play and exciting round of Go Fish. Try to unplug from technology for an hour, and relax with games.

3. Enjoy Your Hobby of Discover a New One

All your scrapbooking materials have been waiting for your creative process, so pull them back out and get to creating. Knit that sweater, write that short story, or practice those dance moves. Don’t have a hobby? Try discovering something new that you always wanted to try, like those cool yoga moves, photography around your home, or reading through that list of books you have put off.

You don’t have to be out and about to enjoy your free time. Make the most of your time at home by doing stuff that you love, and spending that quality time with the people at the house.
